Elementary Choral Practices Synthesis Project

As an innovative leader who aims to guide students toward independent creative thinking, it is extremely important to foster creativity and not restrict it in the classroom. Giving students broad guidelines and suggestions involving musical projects can allow creativity to grow and develop. A great way to enhance and deepen student creativity while making connections between curriculums is to inquire and collaborate with other classroom teachers. When students engage with similar content in multiple different classroom settings, they develop a strong understanding and springboard toward further learning in several areas. Pairing this collaboration and study with positive reinforcement and response is essential as an educator. I greatly value respecting and supporting all of my student's creative thoughts to further foster their growth as creative thinkers in the music classroom.
