User-Exec-mode- (Hostname>)- Limited to a few show commands.
Privileged-Exec-Mode- (Hostname#)- Also called enable mode.
Global-Configuration-mode- (Hostname(Config)#)- allows for configuration changes to be added to the switch. Changes affect the global configuration and usually take play immediately.
Line Con 0- Refers to the console port connection
Exec-timeout x y- x timeout in minutes- y timeout in seconds. Sets the timeout period for the console port.
Logging Synchronous- Prevents logging from occurring while you are consoled into the port.
