The Dangerous Ladies

The dangerous ladies are a bespoke costume design group specializing in pop culture, and prop making. They focus on seamstress work and silicone molding, they sell complete costume kits and do it yourself un painted props you can finish at home. They also sell Stl file sets for at home 3d printing so the customer can save on shipping costs. In the summer of 2022 I worked there as a 3d modeler, and body shopper to help expedite silicone mold production when needed.

Below are the 3d modeling projects I've worked on for them:

Karl Heisenberg's  Hammer-Resident Evil Village

This model was done as a replica of an in game model, scaled up to 6 feet tall and segmented for consumer level 3d printers, with alternate. The main difficulty with doing this as slicing round holes so they could be printed in 2 pieces. While still allowing for a wooden dowel to be inserted after the fact,

at the customers request this was segmented for 200 mm print beds, and constructed with a through dowel for ease of assembly,

i find projexcts like this rewarding due to the artistic liscence the limited reference imagery affords me as the 3d modeler.

however using parametric modelling techniques was not in the cards for alot of this so i was forced to learn fusions form tool enviroment. and although challenging it yielded a highly usable result that allowed us to deliver for the client a  fun eekend project they can take on  and enjoy making.  as the digital file sets were all they were requested. we dont have a set of finsihed prodcut images.

the final models small details were the most time consuming by far as constantly adjusting them and letting my computer calculate the end result, ould often crash my work stations graphics card and lose my unsaved progress.

Xander's shield

Fire emblem

this was another project where artistic liscence played a role in making this both enjoyable and frsutrating.  Due to the reference materials being game models they are comprised of complex textures over simple 3d models. so my job was to interpret the most prominent featuresand harmonize between pre execution character design art, and the final design execution that is potentially distorted in capture from the medium and its specific context

Elden Ring

the crown was another excercise for my use of fusion, this was defintley not going to be my strong suit. Thankfully fusion has it's direct modeling function, and utilizng its symmetry tools, to create a human scale crown, and wearable mask.

Durandal's Claymore - Fire Emblem The Binding Blades - Heroes Edition

This is meant to be a 2 handed longsword,  to be printed on consumer printers so sliced at 200mms, its pinned to ease assembly, and utilizes a long dowel internal support to make it more usable as a stage prop. The reference is from the game series Fire Emblem
