Materials:
4 different colored chrysanthemum stems (2 of each color)
5-8 leather leaf stems
2 tree fern stems
1 solidago stem
Oasis
Tin
Snips
Cellophane
Apron
Start by soaking your oasis by using the free float method. This is done by filling up a bucket of water and placing the oasis while allowing it to float. Do not push down, as it will remain dry on the inside
Once soaked, line the tin with cellophane and place the oasis in your tin
Remove access cellophane with snips so it aligns with the rim on the container
Grab one color of your chrysanthemums, and trim the stems to about five inches, remove any foliage that will interfere with the oasis
Insert five chrysanthemums into the oasis to make your center. Each point of the oasis (the sides and top center) should have one flower. Place the chrysanthemums so the stem measures to about a 1/2 inch
Grab your leather leaf stems and snip them to six inches
Remove the bottom two leaves so it fits correctly into the oasis
Scatter your leather leaves in a waterfall-esc shape. The oasis should be nearly covered when completed
Take your fern stems and cut so each stem is the same size as the leather leaves. Remove bottom two leaves and place as desired for extra volume.
For the final filler, take the solidago stem and trim to match the other leaves, placing the stems on the outskirts of the design
Finally, add the last color of chrysanthemums by trimming them to the same size as the other colored flowers. Insert where your design lacks color
