Travel Information
The Conference will be held at the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna. Participants of the Workshop could reach Dubna from Moscow in following ways:
From the airport
Transportation from the airports of Moscow to Dubna will be provided by the Organizing Committee. Participants don't need to take a taxi or try to get to Dubna by themselves. They will be met by the taxi driver at the exit from the customs zone. Participants who want to be met should inform the Organizing Committee by e-mail about their flight number, date, time, and terminal of arrival (and also departure) not later than the 20th of July.
Further information will be distributed in a roundmail few days before the conference.
By train from Moscow:
Participants coming from Moscow can take a train to Dubna from Savelovsky Railway Station. The time-table of the trains from Moscow to Dubna is available. The Organizing Committee recommends to use express trains with only three-four stops. Travel with a train takes about two and half hours, with an express train about two hours. Due to the construction of a bridge across the Volga river, the movement of the trains through the city is stopped. Now, "Bolshaya Volga"(point A) is the last stop. Then take a bus number 5 (7, 11, 17 or 110) from "B. Volga" railway station that will take you in about half an hour to the stop "Ploshchad Mira"(point B). The way from "Ploshchad Mira" to the hotel "Dubna" (point C) is about 10 minutes walk along Flerova street and then, Vekslera street (see the map below).
By bus from Moscow:
There is a bus station near the Savelovsky railway station (left-hand side). The busses depart at: 9:00, 11:30, 12:45, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30, 18:00, 20:10, 23:00. Please note: minor changes in the schedules are possible. Travel with a bus takes two hours or more depending on traffic. The price of the ticket - 350 rubles; you can also buy a ticket on the Internet here. Please, get off the bus near the "Dubna" railway station(point A). This is the first bus stop in Dubna. The way from "Dubna" railway station to the hotel(point B) is about 10 minutes walk along Inzhenernaya and Meshcheryakova streets (see the map).
Information for foreigners
On the Russian border you will be given two exemplars of "Migration Card". You should fill them and give one exemplar to a customs officer. The second exemplar you should keep the whole stay in Russia and show on the border on the way back.
JINR rules:
Each time you enter the territory of the institute you need to show your passport. You can take with you your laptop, compact discs, USB-storage devices, mobile phone.
ATTENTION: photo/video cameras, CD-players and other electronic devices are not allowed on the territory of JINR.
