Bandi O's has been camping with Girl Scouts for quite a while now. She was a camper beginning in 2003 and was able to complete both the CIT and JC programs at CPW. She joined the staff at CPW in 2014 and stayed for several years working as General Counsellor, Program Specialist, Unit Leader, Program Director, Support Director, and Assistant Camp Director.
Her favorite unit in Camp is Tulip Poplar and her favorite camp activity is either creeking or archery!
Outside of Camp, Bandi O's is involved in the performing arts, reading, crafting, bicycling, and traveling. She also has two cats named MaryLou and Pretty Kitty who she will not hesitate to show you photos of!
Cosmo has been at GSCNC camps since 2018, working first at Camp Winona before transitioning to Potomac Woods in 2022. She started as a unit counsellor before progressing to unit leader. She spent two summers working on the inclusion team and is now embarking on her second summer as Assistant Camp Director.
Cosmo lives in England where she is an avid competitive netball player and is in the process of finishing her degree in Property Development.
Artemis has been camping at CPW since 2012. She has been a camper, junior counselor, program specialist, tripping coordinator, and will be the program director this summer. Her favorite camp activities are canoeing and archery.
Outside of camp Artemis lives in Wales where she enjoys camping and traveling as much as possible. She is also currently a substitute teacher at a special needs school.
Shika is originally from Ghana, but recently moved to the States for university. She love listening to music and adding new songs to my playlists, colouring, and having a good laugh!
Shika is currently studying to work in wealth management.
Shika is new to Camp Potomac Woods, but is very excited to spend time in nature, participate in fun camp activities, and make new memories!
Rose has been a Girl Scout since she was a Daisy, and camped at many different summer camps including Potomac Woods, May Flather, and Brighton Woods. Rose is looking forward to coming back to Potomac Woods for her second year as the aquatics manager!
At Potomac Woods, Rose loves to take a swim in the pool and join units for cook-outs. Her favorite part about camp is exploring nature and seeing all of the wildlife.
While not at camp, Rose has been at university studying to become an occupational therapist. She also loves traveling, thrifting, and playing with her three dogs.
Chloë worked with GSCNC in 2024 as a Unit Leader for the Archer's and Artist's Program, and is moving up to Arts & Crafts Manager for Summer 2026!
Chloë's favorite thing about GSCNC is the opportunity to work with the next generation to build up leaders; and foster creative, worldly, and passionate people. And of course, working to help students connect art to the natural world around them!
Chloë's passion for working with the youth extends outside of GSCNC, as a current substitute teacher and aspiring full time secondary art teacher! You can usually find her with a book or pencil in hand, learning about something new or trying to capture the world around her in her sketchbook
Snow was a Girl Scout from Kindergarten all the way through her senior year. She joined CPW last year as a nature programs specialist and is returning this year as the Environmental Stewardship Manager.
She has years behind her in environmental education, including a degree in marine science and her Maryland master naturalist certification.
Her favorite camp activities are creeking and nature hikes, and she appreciates a good s’more. Outside of camp, Snow loves traveling, reading, gardening and cooking, and works as a conservationist
Mango has always loved nature and biology since childhood. She is currently a Biology and Public health science major at the University of Maryland.
She first joined the CPW team in 2025 as a health center assistant to help further her goal of becoming a physician. Mango definitely can not wait to go back to camp this summer and as Health center manager for 2026.
Mango’s favorite memories at camp is helping all of the campers and staff feel their best!
Juni was a Girl Scout from Brownie to Bronze Award, and later rejoined as a Unit Leader at Potomac Woods in 2024. Then they returned as a member of leadership in 2025 as the Youth Leadership Coordinator. This summer, Juni is the Unit Manager for 2026.
Juni's favorite thing about camp is that it "creates space for our Girl Scouts to express themselves and explore nature, for campers and counselors alike."
Outside of camp, Juni teaches English in France and planning to take on a degree Masters in Film and Philosophy.
Ivy has been in Girl Scouts since she was a Brownie, and joined the CPW team as a junior counselor in 2022. From a JC, to unit counselor, to unit leader, Ivy has spent the past four summers at the best camp in the council! Now she’s excited to be joining the leadership team as this summer’s youth leadership coordinator!
Outside of camp, Ivy is finishing her degree in history and French. She spends her free time at the gym, reading, and listening to music.
Ivy’s favorite thing about camp is how magical it is. And she can’t wait for another summer of swimming songs and smores!
