African American Vocal Ensemble
AAVE is a non-auditioned choral ensemble that performs music from the African American Diaspora (Gospel, Jazz, Blues, Pop, R&B, Rock, and Spirituals). AAVE is open to music majors and non-music majors alike. We learn our music through a combination of rote learning (learning the music by ear through repetition in class and through tracks created by our collaborative pianist) and reading music. AAVE is all about building community through music. Come out and join us for some dynamic music making!
