For twenty years, since the end of the Greenskin wars, Franconia had been occupied and governed by the Empire of the Golden Isles. In the conflict of the age of reckoning in recent years the nation was 'freed' after the orc warband led by Ataxia, a glamoured fae general, crushed the Empire before falling to the armies of the allied nations as it tried to meet the same fate on the country of Estragales.

Franconia is in chaos, warring factions vie for control as old religious and social tensions have come to a head, old magi nobles seek to re-establish their imperiums and brutal bandits seek to carve out provinces that they can rule. Everything that the Franconians knew and stood for has been swept aside during their occupation and now they must re-make their broken nation.
