Gatherings still pose a high risk of infection. Coronavirus is still present in our community and social distancing requirements remain in effect. It is best to gather in person only with those in your household. Stay connected with other loved ones through phone and video calls. This is especially important for older people and those of any age who have an underlying medical condition. If you must visit family or friends, take steps to reduce the risk.
SAVE Lives Santa Cruz County is a framework to help our community safely move forward during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with partners throughout the County, public health officials have developed a plan that protects residents, supports economic recovery, and aligns with the governor’s Resilience Roadmap. The SAVE Lives framework is based on four principles: Slow the spread; Adapt and adjust; Vaccinate and treat; and Elevate readiness.
Santa Cruz County Public Health and the Office of the Agricultural Commissioner are bringing together community partners and local farmers to conduct COVID-19 outreach, education, and prevention among agricultural workers. Please stay tuned for more information about this important work.
