Gabby: I am working with Fitness4Life this year. As an AmeriCorp member and Watsonville native, I am passionate about serving my community and love that I get that chance to do that in NESTcorps. This website has helped me learn more about resources in my community and I hope it can do the same for you!
Xitlali: I’m an employee at the Digital NEST and am a Watsonville native. I have experience in community organizing with a women of color collective based out of Watsonville called Revolunas, so when the opportunity came up to participate in NESTcorps I knew I had to jump in on it. I’m very passionate about working with other local community members and brainstorming ideas on how to unify Watsonville and make sure our youth have an equitable opportunity to thrive.
Felicia: I was born and raised in Watsonville and am passionate about celebrating and supporting this amazing community. Though I am living on the East Coast now, as COVID-19 spread I wanted nothing more than to support my hometown. NESTcorp gave me the opportunity to connect back to and help my home even from afar. I seek to continue to help Watsonville and elsewhere in whatever ways I can.
Corona: My name is Maria Corona, I was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles but have been living in Santa Cruz for a few years now. I have directly been working in Watsonville for almost 2 years now, which reminds me of my community back home which is why I am passionate about working on this project. I am currently the Watsonville Green Business Director where I help small businesses find resources and rebates to help them save valuable resources while saving money and in turn helping make their business operations more sustainable. I heard about this project which is similar to the work that I was already doing, so I had get involved in this project and wanted to further help the Watsonville community
