Stay Active

Dance

Monday at 3:30 pm

Dancing is a great way for people of all ages to express their inner thoughts through movement! This dance class will teach kids how to get their body moving through dance and learn a fun and easy routine that they can perform for their family after dinner one night!

fitness challenge

Wednesday at 5:00 pm

Staying active during this time is really important, so here is a way to get in a quick fitness session made fun for any kid! Join us in doing some easy exercises while listening to some fun music!

Exercise to Disney

Thursday at 3:30 pm & Sunday at 11:30 am

We will be doing some fun, simple exercises to some of your favorite Disney songs.

Tiktok tutorial

Thursday at 4:00 pm

TikTok is a popular app where people make brand new creative dances! We will be teaching some of these dances as a great way to exercise, improve coordination, and have fun!

Zumba

Friday at 3:30 pm

Zumba is a fun type of exercise that is a bit like a dance routine and gets your body moving! It is a super fun way to stay active inside your house.

Yoga

Saturday at 11:30 am

Yoga is a great type of exercise that includes stretching, balance, and strength. It can be a great way to relax while still getting some exercise.

Monday at 4:00 pm

Learn the Japanese craft of folding paper. Without the need for cutting or gluing, students can turn paper into different and exciting shapes, animals, and more!

Paper crafts are a fun and easy way to get creative and make something amazing. In this activity, we will cover different paper crafts from making snowflakes to making small pop-up books

singing

Monday at 5:00 pm

In this class, kids can learn how to properly sing, while having fun! With the help from a piano player (me) kids can learn about pitch, notes, and how to stay on key. This should help those who are interested in music better their understanding in music, while making use of their time.

Art challenge

Tuesday at 4:00 pm & Sunday at 9:00 am

Doodling with art challenges is a great way to stimulate your brain and spark creativity among younger children. Join us every week for a new art challenge and to make a group drawing to spark your creativity and cure your boredom!

Drama

Wednesday at 3:30 pm

If you’re looking to learn some more about live theater, become a better actor/actress, make some friends, and just have some plain fun, join our drama class! We will hold weekly meetings in which students will learn more about theater, as well as be interactive with one another as they foster self-expression, sympathy, and a sense of community among themselves. Whether or not you already have a background in performance, our class will provide something valuable to everybody!

Wednesday at 4:00 pm

This class takes simple materials around the house and transforms it into a beautiful masterpiece whether it would be making a garden using cotton balls and green paint, or making a cool 3-d design with just some markers and a piece of paper!

Showing kids how to express their creativity through this art medium with a variety of activities. Not only will this be a fun activity, but it will be a great opportunity to allow kids to learn different painting techniques as well as broaden their creative knowledge.

Do you love making stories and using your imagination?? Learn how to use your creativity and create fun and wacky content for stories and projects like mini magazines, short films, and more!

In painting, we will be creating a new painting project every week with the kids as well as teaching them different painting techniques and showing them how great of an outlet painting can be.

Sunday at 12:00 pm

Step by step drawing makes creating easy and fun, even if you think you're no good at art. It uses simple step-by-step instructions drawing shapes and lines to create fun animals and other cartoon pictures.

journaling

Tuesday at 3:30 pm and Friday at 5:00 pm

Journaling is a great way to be creative and write your own story. During a time like this, it can be very helpful to take some time to write or draw about your thoughts and feelings. It is also really fun to look back at old journals when you’re older and remember this experience!

poetry

Tuesday at 5:00 pm

Being stuck inside constantly, kids need a way to express themselves and have fun doing so! Poetry can be a way for a kid to say what they’re thinking and to experience the world in a different way. This teaches kids how to write basic poems. An enjoyable, relaxing, fun activity and creative outlet for all ages!

Self-love

Wednesday at 4:30 pm & Saturday at 12:30 pm

With times as uncertain as these, we tend to doubt our worth. Whether it be listing 10 things you love about yourself, speaking positive affirmations, or simply communicating, young kids will learn how to manifest positivity and ultimately become more confident beings!

Thursday at 5:00 pm

Students will get to conduct fun and safe science experiments with household items! We will learn how to ask questions, make a hypothesis, observe, and collect data, sparking curiosity in young students!

bingo

Friday at 4:00 pm

Bingo is a fun game that can just be for pure entertainment and to let kids have fun. We will have traditional bingo cards as well as some custom themed ones created to make it more interesting!

coding

Friday at 4:30 pm

Students will explore the world of computer science through different activities, including coding on Scratch and in different languages, along with craft projects to demonstrate the concepts of coding in real life.

Escape room!

Saturday at 9:30 am

Do you love solving puzzles and clues? Do you like a challenge under time pressure? Come do our virtual escape room challenges! Each session participants will set out to work their way out of sticky situations through teamwork and putting their brains to the test. It's a great way to sharpen your critical thinking skills and just have some plain fun!

Art history

Finding a creative outlet during this tough time is important. With art history, students will be able to learn about different art styles and create something of their very own.

Follow Harry Potter and his friends as they journey through their school years at Hogwarts, going on many thrilling adventures along the way. Exploring ideas of bravery, friendship, and Harry's destiny as "the boy who lived," this series has something for kids of all ages. Join us every week!

39 clues: The maze of bones

Thursday at 4:30 pm

The 39 Clues series is a mystery about a brother and sister who go on an international treasure hunt. It is full of action and adventure and is very engaging. These characters experience hardship and growth, they learn the skills of working together, puzzle-solving, and who to trust. This is great for a kid who is looking for a grand adventure that will keep them on the edge of their seat. We host weekly read-alouds and it is recommended for ages 8-11, but it can be enjoyed by any age. Come and listen!

A Wrinkle In Time is a fun book for children who love to let their imagination run wild! It follows the journey of a young girl named Meg, accompanied by her brother and friend, in search of their missing father. They encounter many obstacles but continuously represent courage and get through them.

The Lorax by Dr. Seuss is a children’s book about a man taking away the beauty of the environment by chopping down Truffula trees, and polluting the pure clean air with smog from factories. This fun and entertaining book helps kids understand the causes and effects of their decisions, and how we should take care of the environment. After reading we will have a discussion about what we liked and disliked about the book, and what we can do to help the beautiful earth and everything that inhabits it! This is recommended for ages 6-8.

magic tree house: day of the dragon king

The Magic Tree House book series brilliantly ties fantasy with history! With an added historical component, there is always something for children to learn and discover in this bestselling chapter book series! Thanks to the help of a treehouse, books, and historical figures from around the globe, characters Jack & Annie learn the power of time travel and creativity, with a little bit of magic! We will be hosting weekly read-alouds of this widely adored series and though it is recommended for ages 6-9, it is open to children of all ages! We hope to see you there!

The Underneath by Kathi Appelt is a book filled with whimsy, adventure, and loss, as we follow the stories of an old hound’s unlikely friendship with a mother cat and her two kittens, the story of a young boy turned a bitter man, and an ancient love story that continues mystically in the present. Themes and reading comprehension difficulty most suitable for grades four and five, but all are welcome to listen and read along!

pocahontas

Sunday at 9:30 am

Pocahontas is a Disney classic about people of two different worlds meeting each other. See what happens when Pocahontas, daughter of an Indian chief, befriends an English leader, John Smith. After reading we will discuss what we liked and disliked about the book. This is recommended for ages 8-11, but Disney lovers of all ages can enjoy it!

tales of a fourth grade nothing

Sunday at 10:00 am

This book is great for kids ages 8-10. As we’ll read, we will learn about young Fudge’s trouble-making ways. This book will make you laugh and keep you wanting to read more. Join me as we learn about 10-year-old Peter and his 3-year-old brother, Fudge, as they encounter sibling rivalries, and missing pet turtle problems.

auggie and me

Auggie Pullman is a normal kid with one special feature-- his face. His courage to enter a world where people weren't quite ready, he was able to bring wonder in both his own life and in the lives of those around them. Follow the stories of three different individuals who have all been touched in different ways by one normal but extraordinary kid. With themes of friendships, hardships, and acceptance, this book has lessons for children of all ages to learn.

junie b. jones is a beauty shop guy

Reading this fun book always puts everyone in a good mood. You know her and love her, it’s another one of Junie B’s adventures... this time as a beauty shop guy! I chose this book because as a kid I got the whole Junie B series as a gift because I loved reading about her adventures. I hope the kids will learn the proper behavior instead of the sassy Junie B way and have a giggle here and there as well!
