The mission of the Alabama Virtual Academy Guidance and Counseling Curriculum is to provide a comprehensive guidance program that will assist all students in acquiring the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to become effective students, responsible citizens, productive workers and lifelong learners.
The Alabama Virtual Academy’s School Comprehensive Counseling Curriculum is an integral part of the school’s total program with a commitment to education and helping each student reach their maximum potential. With collaborative and cooperative relationships, the program strives to meet the academic, personal, social and career needs of every student. The program’s ultimate goal is for students to master the competencies necessary to be able to make self-directed, realistic and responsible decisions and to be successful contributors to society.

The Counseling and Guidance Curriculum Philosophy of Alabama Virtual Academy believes in the worth and dignity of each student and values their uniqueness. All services are provided in cooperation with teachers, administrators, students and parents.
We view the Counseling and Guidance Program as:
