ACT WorkKeys

A minimum of 4 must be earned in each of the three areas tested: Applied Math, Reading for Information, and Locating Information. This qualifies a student for a Silver Certificate. 

AP Exams

3 or higher on any AP test

Military Enlistment

A student must have completed the formal enlistment process prior to graduation and provide documentation of enlistment. Documented completion of Military Enlistment Processing Station (MEPS) evaluations are also acceptable. Appointments for MEPS are not sufficient.

College Credit

ALVA offers this through dual enrollment (paid by parent/legal guardian or scholarship)

Apprenticeship

  Completing an in-school youth apprenticeship program.

• In order to meet the CCR Indicator for In-School Youth Apprenticeship, a student must complete the requirements for completing an In-School Youth Apprenticeship as defined by the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship.

CTE Program (Pathway)

Attaining career and technical education completer status.

• Complete three courses within an approved ALSDE CTE Program with a C or higher.

• If you change your CTE Pathway during high school, you may not qualify for this.
