Tuition and fees
Students may “borrow” a textbook on loan from the DE office
Students may obtain an access code for a required class if needed
Cannot exceed two funded courses under any scholarship (CTE and/or STEM in combination in the Fall/Spring Semesters)
Math and some science courses have an ACT or course pre-requisite.
STEM Courses include:
ANY SCIENCE (Examples: BIO103/BIO104, PHS111/PHS112, BIO201/202, etc.)
ANY MATH (Accuplacer or ACT score needed)
ANY COMPUTER SCIENCE
*Chemistry pre-requisite requires the successful completion of MTH 112.
**Physics pre-requisite requires the successful completion of MTH 125.

"Students wishing to enroll in Career and Technical Dual Enrollment programs may be eligible for assistance through the ACCS Career and Technical Education Dual Enrollment (CTEDE) Scholarship which provides funding for tuition and fees. This scholarship may also be used to cover the costs of specific academic courses that are required in the eligible CTE program of study; however, each academic course must be taken concurrently with a CTE course. The scholarship is available for up to two (2) classes per student, per semester, during the high school academic year (Fall and Spring semester). This Dual Enrollment scholarship covers the cost of tuition and fees for ONE (1) STEM-related academic course in Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Math, Physical Science, or Physics.
The scholarship does not cover additional fees associated with the courses, such as proctor fees and book fees.
Students that receive a scholarship for a STEM-related academic course are not required to enroll in a Career & Technical program to be eligible.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is the end of the business day (4:30 pm CST) on August 15, 2022 .
The SU Foundation provides a limited number of Academic Dual Enrollment Scholarships during the Fall and Spring semesters. The deadline to submit the scholarship application for the 2022 Spring semester is November 1, 2021 by close of the business day. To be eligible for this scholarship program, a student must:
Obtain a Southern Union Student ID number by completing the admissions process.
Be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade
Have a minimum cumulative (unweighted) high school GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Students who were awarded the scholarship for Fall 2021 and have maintained 2.5 GPA in SUSCC coursework must submit an application to renew their scholarship.
