I was born and raised in North Carolina, received my BA in Visual Arts Studies at NC State University (2012) and my MA in School Counseling at the University of San Diego (2019). I discovered my love for counseling through my experiences working with non-profits such as AALEAD and Peace Corps. As the daughter of Vietnamese refugees and an educator, the importance of unconditional positive regard and the value of education became a huge part of my personal identity. It was no wonder I eventually found myself working in education supporting young folks. As an elementary school counselor I am passionate about implementing my love for the arts by infusing creative methods into my counseling practice. Kiddos of all age groups love to use their imagination and creativity, and I love providing the space for them to feel safe enough to express themselves freely. I will do my best to be an advocate and put our students' interests and needs first. I look forward to providing a supportive environment for your kiddos to grow and discover their inner strengths and voices.
