This will be our second year growing vegetables in Alaska, and we are excited to see how our crops perform in the summer of 2025. Last year was a learning experience, and we are eager to apply what we’ve learned to improve our yields and growing techniques. Potatoes and broccoli are our main focus this season, as they are well-suited to Alaska’s climate and can thrive in the long daylight hours of summer. With better soil preparation, careful planning, and a bit of luck with the weather, we hope to produce an even larger and healthier harvest this year. Watching our garden grow and seeing the results of our hard work is one of the most rewarding parts of farming, and we can’t wait to share the bounty with our community.Â
We started clearing the snow on the farm to prepare for the 2025 growing season! Now it is time to prep our seeds and get ready for planting!Â
