Cosgrove School is a Year 1 – 6 primary school in Papakura, serving a multicultural South Auckland community. The school first opened in 1959, and has established a strong reputation in our community for being an excellent place for our tamariki to learn and grow into confident, motivated citizens who respect themselves, each other and their environment.
Cosgrove School has modern classrooms, with many built or refurbished into the Innovative Learning Environment style with open spaces where two teachers work with their combined class. Students have access to considerable IT resources with sets of chromebooks and tablets available for their use. We operate three syndicates, Junior Y1 & 2, Middle Y3 & 4 and Senior Y5 & 6, each with wonderfully experienced senior leaders, and a team of talented, enthusiastic and motivated teachers. We also support our teaching with a large number of teacher aides, who assist in classroom programmes or work independently with groups of students. We are very fortunate to have extensive grounds, three separate playgrounds, a solar heated swimming pool and a well-resourced library.
At Cosgrove School, we believe strongly that education is a partnership between the school and the Whanau, and we seek opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s learning.
We are very proud of our school and the educational opportunities that we offer our students.
