The overall goal of the project is to develop a new type of multifunctional CS-based coatings on the surface of magnesium alloys with enhanced corrosion resistance and antibacterial functionality. The implementation of new electrochemical approaches for the deposition of the CS-coatings and their modification by metal ions and second-phase particles will result in the development of a novel type of CS-based multifunctional coatings with enhanced corrosion resistance and antibacterial properties.
