Salt spray tests are performed according to ISO 9227:2017 "Corrosion tests in artificial atmospheres — Salt spray tests". There is a possibility to perform tests in neutral and acidic conditions.
Allows to perform rapid corrosion test according to Qualicoat standard. This test evaluates the weathering performance of powder coating systems, pigments fading, film haziness, and loss of gloss.
24 hours test duration is equivalent to 500 hours in a salt spray chamber.
48 hours test duration is equivalent to 1.000 hours in a salt spray chamber.
The test is performed 37 °C in an acidic solution consisting of sodium chloride, acetic acid, and hydrogen peroxide.

Our Laboratory also has full access to the Equipment available in the Institute and actively cooperates with other units of ICSC PAS. The full list of the equipment is available on the main web-page of the Institute here (in English) and here (In Polish). Some specific measurements can be also performed using the facilities of our domestic and international collaborators.
