Electrochemistry & Corrosion Laboratory is a part of the Soft Matter Nanostructures Group at Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (ICSC) in Krakow, Poland. The official webpage of our Institute is available here.
Our corrosion laboratory is active in research areas covering almost all aspects of modern electrochemistry. The research is focused on the study of corrosion processes and corrosion protection, anodic and plasma-electrolytic anodization, biocompatible coatings, electrochemical deposition of functional coatings, energy conversion and storage applications. Currently, we are mostly focused on the investigation of the corrosion phenomena in aqueous media and catalytic hydrogen conversion. More details are available on the Research page.
Our laboratory and other groups at ICSC possess a wide range of equipment and examination techniques for surface modification and characterization. The detailed description is available on the Equipment page. We also have a wide network of domestic and international collaborators.
We are also interested in expanding our cooperation with scientific and industrial partners. Our offer for industry partners on corrosion and electrochemical measurements can be found here.
