Working with Dr. Ryan Lidster and Dr. Peter Hauser (NTID-RIT) I've developed two ASL assessments, grounded in usage-based approaches to language, intended to measure receptive proficiency in L2 signers.

The ASL- Fingerspelling and Numbers Comprehension Test (FaN-CT) and the ASL-Online Vocabulary Exam (ASL_OVE) were developed between 2019-2021, supported by the NTID Office of the President. Future plans include development of an L1 version of ASL-OVE for use in measuring typical and atypical langauge acquisition trajectories and piloting the ASL-OVE 2.0, an updated version of the original in post-secondary L2 ASL classrooms
