Week 7: Readings
Resources
Australia’s Copyright Act is currently being reviewed and hopefully updated to establish a modern regulatory framework for digital and online learning. Previous successful copyright reforms include:
· a new exception to enable the use of copyright materials in online assessments and digital exams
· a new fair dealing exception which enables schools to make copies to assist students with disabilities, and
· amendments to bring educational institutions into the safe harbour scheme, meaning school administrators that opt-in to the scheme have legal protection for copyright infringements occurring on school networks.
