Interpret when scheduled or surprise meetings would be beneficial in monitoring a student teacher's progress.
Begin formulating a plan to when and how you would prefer student teachers submit their journal reflections.
Analyze when and how often a student teacher can sub for their cooperating teacher.
Identify how many days a student teacher can be absent and what happens if this becomes an issue.

Review "Sub Policy for Student Teachers placed in ND Schools" if you are interested in learning when/how the student teacher can sub for their cooperating teacher.
Take a look at the "Baby UbD Lesson Plan Template" to see if it will meet your expectations.
Use the "Weekly Journal Reflection Prompts" if you feel like your student teacher could use some topics to help develop more detailed and meaningful weekly reflections.
Complete the Google Form to record your completion of Orientation - Part 2.
See the attached document that summarizes when a student teacher can fill in as the sub for their cooperating teachers during the semester, and if they have a sub license through ESPB, when they can be paid as a sub.
This is one template that can be used for lesson planning on days when the supervisor is scheduled to come in and observe the student teacher's lesson.
If you find your student teachers' weekly journal reflections are getting shorter and less detailed, open this list of prompts to help them consider other aspects of their experience to reflect on.
