Start from Dahab from your hotel At 11:00 PM or 12:00 AM Driving for 1.5 - 2 hours to Saint Catherine City. Upon arrival we tie our shoes and start the hike to summit Mount Sinai, up we go till we reach to the summit. Along the way, you will have short breaks at shelters to relax with warm tea, coffee and snacks. we will reach to the last cafeteria and rest there for a short time, and about 45 mins before the sun rises up, the group gathers at the top of the mountain to watch the sunrise. After descending from Mount Sinai you will visit the Monastery of Saint Catherin which opens at 8:45 AM (the toilet and cafe work before the opening).
At 9:45 AM, We drive back to Dahab.
*Please make sure to be on time back from the monastery to the parking (the same dropped off point) at 9:45 AM*
Around 11:30 am - 12 pm, arriving at the same place you started.

️FAQ about the trip
- What if I don't have Flashlight?
We recommend to our hikers to bring a head Flashlight so it's easier for hiking, but other option is using your phone Flashlight or you maybe would like to support our bedouin kids and invest in buying one from them upon arrival in Katrin
- How long is the hike?
It's 2 to 3 hours, it's 7 km one way
