The following visualizations display data regarding parking on the Lewis & Clark College campus and single occupancy vehicle commuters.
Office of Transportation & Parking, 2025 (see Appendix C)
The bar chart to the left displays the proportion of on-campus student respondents at Lewis & Clark College who keep a car on campus.
Roughly 25% of respondents reported owning a car on campus, while the remaining 75% do not own a car on campus. It is important to note that from this information the TPAC does not state which proportion of respondents are upper versus lower students
The bar chart to the right displays the frequency of reasons cited to drive alone by respondents who reported to drive single occupancy vehicles.
"Saves time" was the most commonly cited reason to drive alone, with 21.44% of respondents answering this way. The response with the lowest percentage, "Bus doesn't run during the hours I commute," with 1.43% of responses. Thus showing that the bus schedule is not a primary reason for why single occupancy vehicles are favoured.
