George Green's School

At George Green's, students studying Art & Design develop the core skills that they need to be able to record, experiment and refine their work with confidence. We also encourage our students to develop their skills and resilience around planning, developing and exploring their own individual ideas and artworks, creating work that is meaningful and personal to them.

Our students are naturally gifted and quickly develop skills and a sense of pride in their work and creations. We like seeing students build their own relationship with the subject, as well as their own thoughts and ideas about what a long-term practice might look like and how this might work for them and the world around them. We focus on progress and achievement that empower students. We also aim to develop more exploratory practices and more expressive art making, fostering life-long learning and building those relationships with the subject that last a lifetime.
