キヌガサタケの持つ菌網は、傘の中に小さく折りたたまれた状態で形成され、大きな展開率を持つ網目構造の器官です。この折りたたみから学ぶことで、大空間の工場を必要とせずに小さく折りたたまれた状態のまま製造し、大きく展開できるような構造物の設計へ応用しようと考えています。

The net-like structure of the veiled lady mushroom forms in a compactly folded state inside the cap and can expand significantly. By studying this folding mechanism, we aim to apply it to the design of deployable structures that can be manufactured in a compact form and later expanded, eliminating the need for large factory spaces.
