Copying an Orderset 

A benefit of Connect Care is that favourite orders can be accessed by other users. This allows individuals to copy, or use, orders and ordersets that have been customized by experienced users.

The steps below can be used to find and then copy order sets created by other Connect Care users.

• Go to Personalize, in the red banner at the top of the screen

• Choose Smart sets (the first menu option)

• In User Versions enter the name of the person who you know has order sets

• Highlight the name of an orderset you would like to copy

• Click the Copy Version button at the bottom of the scren

• Give it your own name

• Update the orderset as needed

  • When copying an admission order set you must check the details of the admission order to ensure that the Admitting Physician, Most Responsible Physician, Provider Team, and Diagnosis, are blanks.   

• Click Accept

Bottom Line

Please copy ordersets. This is particularly important with respect to the admission and follow-up orders, as simply favouriting may inadvertently admit/assign the patient to the wrong person.
