The suggested learning path for Residents Gynelogical Oncology settings is to
Complete the basic training to understand the Surgery functionality of the system, then
Add additional training for the Oncology specific functionality, such as treatment plans and therapy plans.
Completing the basic training for Surgery will provide a good overview of the core functions of finding information in the chart, writing notes, entering orders, and understanding the importance of navigators.
After completing the surgery basic training and passing the associated EUPA please complete the Supplemental Oncology course using the link below
This self-guided course has been created for prescribers who work in an Oncology setting who have previously completed Connect Care training and have access to PRD. This course provides an overview of Connect Care functionality specific to Oncology
The course you need to complete is titled Epic CMIO - Medical Oncology Independent Learning
This course should be listed when you access MyLearningLink listed within the Required Courses tab.
If required you can find and register for the course using these steps:
Navigate to MyLearningLink with your AHS username and password
Use the Courses & Registrations link and search for "medical oncology"
Click the course titled Epic - CMIO Medical Oncology- Independent Learning
Register for the course
Complete this course while simultaneously logged in to the Connect Care training environment, see information below
Navigate to https://myapps.albertahealthservices.ca
Open the Connect Care folder, then the Training folder, launch ACE05 or PLY
Login as MEDONC## (where ## is any number from 01 to 19)

Before gaining access to Connect Care, all trainees must complete a short competency assessment, the End User Proficiency Assessment (EUPA). This is done after basic (in-person) training.
The EUPA can be found in MyLearningLink, listed with Required Courses
Complete the EUPA titled Epic - CMIO Medical Oncology EUPA
Access will be automatically granted (usually overnight) once you have passed the EUPA and completed On Our Best Behaviours privacy training
When completing your EUPA it is recommended that you login to the Connect Care training environment.
Everyone at AHS has to complete the mandatory Annual Continuing Education (ACE) Privacy and Information Security training module on MyLearningLink: InfoCare – On Our Best Behaviors.
Your access to Connect Care will not be enabled without completing this course.
