Cardiology Resulting

Cardiology training has two components, 

• Cardiology Basic training which covers the management patients that are admitted or seen in an outpatient clinic.

  • • Basic training must be completed before the resulting testing.

    • This link provides details to complete the basic training

• Cardiology Resulting which covers the unique workflow for:

  • • Echo, Stress tests, Holter, Ambulatory BP Monitor, TEE, Tilt Table, and Cardioversion    

Cardiac Resuling Training

Resulting various cardiac exams are unique and require specific training. 

• The cardiology resulting course can be found in MyLearningLink, the title of the course is Epic - CMIO Cardiology Resulting - Independent Learning 

• If this course is not found in the Required Courses folder, you can find it using the search function by clicking Courses & Registration on the left side of the screen main MyLearningLink page. 

Accessing the Connect Care training environment

• Using two monitors, or large monitor with split screen, connect to the My Learning Link online module

• In a separate window use a web browser to navigate to https://myapps.albertahealthservices.ca

Login using your AHS credentials and remote user access PIN

• • From the page that appears select Connect Care --> Training --> ACE5

  • ACE is a training version of the system

  • You can login to ACE using these training credentials

    1. Login: CVMD## where ## is any two digit number from 01 to 19

    2. Password: train

Variations in functionality as compared to the independent learning

Preliminary Resulting

• As a Resident/Fellow, you will be completing preliminary results of the exams and the attending will be responsible for the sign off. Instead of a ‘Sign’ button when you’re done, there will be a ‘Prelim’ button.

• The report will remain on the reading worklist until it is signed.
