My Story

This journal was created out of my need to find a greater love. Lust, sex, and manipulation had become embedded in my DNA... And I found myself surrounded by the pleasures of the flesh every day. I began searching for something to fill the emptiness that I carried deep within my soul, and after years of searching, I discovered the One who would accept me and make me whole. Addiction is something everyone can identify with; from the richest to the poorest, and the youngest to the oldest, we all know what it is to have an addiction. Some of us struggle with food, drugs, alcohol, gambling, and stealing. As for me, my drug of choice was my need to seduce and manipulate, It was the lure of eroticism that held me in bondage. My need to control drove me to seek a higher power greater than myself.

Join me on my journey as I discover the Love of a forgiving God, who sees me not from my beginning but from my ending.

Welcome to the world of Conflict between the Spirit and the Flesh.

Confronting the Man In the Mirror

Admitting you have an addiction is challenging, to say the least. To be healed, one has to come face to face with the man in the mirror. I once heard Pastor Paula White say, ” You can’t confront what you don’t identify with”. Her words were my truth; they became my lifeline at that very moment.
My aha moment came in 2005, I will never forget the day I saw Kirk Franklin on OPRAH confessing his addiction to porn; as I listened to him tell his story I saw myself in the details of his life. I have never met Kirk Franklin, but I am grateful to him for sharing his story of addiction; it was his truth that opened my eyes to what was keeping me bound.
The Bible says, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16.
Because Kirk Franklin chose to share his story, I was able to recognize my struggles and confront them head-on, and I’m healed from the spirit of pride, lust, manipulation, and sexual addiction …
Thank you, Kirk Franklin. Your testimony changed my life.
