• Soil (from dead potted plants)*

• Shredded newspaper

• Vegetable/ fruit peels

• Cartons (egg cartons, carton drink holders, etc.)*

• Leaves

*Materials that are needed in high supply

Not-accepted materials:

• Dairy products

• Meat or fish bones and scraps

• Pet waste

• Oil, fats, or grease

• Diseased or insect ridden plants

• Yard trimmings treated with pesticides

• Coal or charcoal ash
