(2) Journal Articles, Books, & Databases
Notes: Access may require BGSU login. Often, the system breaks when attempting to access the full text of journal articles from off-campus. Sometimes, a temporary workaround is to access the Electronic Journals Center directly at: http://proxy.ohiolink.edu:9099/login?url=http://journals.ohiolink.edu/
- Journal Article Search
SUMMON -- Searches nearly all of the databases at once.
EBSCO PSYCINFO -- A database of psychology and psychology-related publications.
The database allows you to find articles. But just as important, it allows you to find all of the articles that have cited a particular article. For details on how to use Psyc Info, see this APA web page.
An additional, convenient feature of PsycInfo is that it will generate almost-perfect APA-formatted citations. Once you've found and selected a particular source, you can use "Tools, Cite" to see the citation in almost-APA format. I say "almost" because the doi will be wrong. It will be a BGSU doi rathe than the proper, doi.org doi.
EBSCO ACADEMIC SEARCH COMPLETE -- Like PsycInfo but includes a greater range of disciplines.
