robotics
event overview
This year's game is VEX Turning Point . Students will aim to build the most innovative robots possible and work together to obtain the most points possible. In addition to just having a great time and building amazing robots, through their participation in the VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) and their work within their team, students will learn many academic and life skills.
This is the sixth year that a VEX Robotics Competition is part of TEECA events at ITEEA. Registration is limited to 16 teams. Each university/college may register two teams. At this event college teams will follow the standard rules for the VEX U Competitions.
team composition
A VRC team typically consists of 2-6 students. A TEECA team must be comprised of students from the registered college/university, with a maximum of one graduate student. As outlined in the VEX In the Zone Game Manual, only two drivers and one coach can be on the field during a match. Any student may participate on the team (help build/program) even if they are unable to attend the TEECA competition at ITEEA. Based on available slots, each university may enter up to two teams.
