2024 started with a focus on U12 Girls development. Wachisa has been training with his Nyabinghi Warriors Girls for a few months now. Training kit has been a great incentive and lots of girls are attending training. Wachisa now plans to support Chitipa Hammers FC, Namuyemba FC and Youngsters FC start up their Girls U12 teams. We will soon be ready for the 1st ever U12 Girls Festival.

The rains officially stopped in mid April and the football began again. Wachisa got the four U12 girls teams together for a practice which was led by the trained Young Girl Coaches. The next big event is the 1st ever U12 girls 8 a side festival on May 1st.

There was exciting news in August, when Coach Wachisa and friends started to develop the 1st ever tennis court in Chitipa. Back in 2020 Grant Watson at Alnwick Tennis Club had donated everything needed to get it all started. It has taken 4 years but the signs are good.

The 2024 Chitipa League has started well. All teams looking great in their kit. Lots of team pictures and action shots are sent back weekly by Wachisa and the other coaches. The clubs here in UK love to see the evidence of where their old kits ended up.

Wachisa was making plans for the upcoming Young Coaches training course and festival. I encouraged him a lot. I sent money to buy white paint to give the mini goals a good clean up and some for photocopying 45 course booklets. The flipcharts and books that Rowland had not used also went Wachisa's way.

An amazing way to end 2024. Coach Wachisa planned and delivered a 3 day Young Coaches Training Course. Eight of the clubs attended and will now be eligible to get material support when the next shipment arrives in June 2025. This course trained 24 new Young Coaches. On the 4th day an U12 '8 a side' festival was held.
