Oswego County Family Resource Center - Parenting Education

Open 11am-4pm Monday through Thursday. Offers free pregnancy testing, free customizable 1:1 parenting classes covering pregnancy, birth, fatherhood, 1st year, toddlerhood, up through school age children. Parenting class attendees receive "mentor money" for diapers, wipes, car seats, furniture, etc.

Oswego Health - Parenting Education
Offers free breastfeeding classes by appointment only with lactation consultant/RN Jennifer. Prenatal assessments and infant weight checks provided for free. Also offers birthing classes by appointment only for $100. Funding for birthing classes may be obtained through a grant with Oswego County Opportunities.

The Centers for Reproductive Health
Offers annual wellness exams, routine and problem visits, birth control, the morning-after emergency contraceptive pill, STD testing and treatment, breast and cervical cancer screening, and HPV vaccines. Also offers health educational sessions, transportation to their health center, and delivery of free condoms, dental dams, etc. Accepts everyone with or without insurance, ages 13 and older, no need for a parent to be present.

Peer Recovery Services
CRPAs assist in treatment by crafting wellness plans and fostering effective coping strategies. This includes assessment and trauma-informed responses to families. Gives free kits, connections to recovery houses, and wrap-around supports and services.

Interactive Counseling - Summer Sessions
Offers regular individual, group, and play therapy to all ages, year-round. But over the summer, they provide groups where they work on coping mechanisms, building self-esteem, managing depression, exploring identity, and more. Each group has a different age range, ranging from 5 to 18+. They offer self-pay rates as low as $25 per session or $65 for all sessions; they also accept some insurance.

Fulton Salvation Army - clothes, furniture etc.: Fulton Salvation army location is 143 N 2nd st, Fulton NY 13069. The number to call is 800-728-7825, they have clothes for both mom and baby (people of all ages) , furniture, toys, etc. available for purchase. Their store hours are Mon-Sat 10am-7pm.
Dexterville Community - Clothes, furniture etc. : This facility offers clothes for any age (including adults), limited furniture, pots and pans, towels, sheets,kitchen appliances. Sandy Creek - Clothes, Furniture: The Sandy Creek food pantry provides food at the food pantry and they also have a thrift store in front of the food pantry that has furniture and clothes. Park United Methodist Church - Clothes: The Pulaski Park United Methodist Church provides food at the food pantry and they also offer a community seamstress who dresses children in need. As well as ‘The Friendship Shop’ thrift shop that is located on Rt. 11 in Sandy Creek and is open Monday-Friday from 9-4, and on Saturday from 9-1. which has furniture and clothes.
