CB4C conducted interviews on Instagram with many local candidates as well as sent 5 questions to all local candidates on issues from public safety to income inequality. We did not endorse candidates as an organization, but encouraged locals to hear directly from candidates and decide for themselves. from @agentsofchange831: In light of whistleblower, Dawn Wooten’s revelations of mass forced hysterectomies performed on Black & brown women at the Irwin County ICE concentration camp, along with many other forms of medical neglect/terrorism; sexual & other forms of abuse; and countless international asylum law, flores agreement, and other human rights violations—not only at this facility but at every ICE camp across our nation, our own state included—we demand the abolition of ICE!

We support our congress member, Jimmy Panetta and so many other representatives’ call for an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security into these matters but this investigation must come with a call to abolish ICE, an agency which is unfixable and rotten to its core. We must abolish ICE along with the ideologies of white supremacy, xenophobia, and eugenics that have encouraged the long history of forced sterilizations, vertical violence and other human rights violations and atrocities against marginalized populations in this country that still persists today.
