Students will practice the art of persuasion and argumentation. The course will look at how we construct persuasive messages in relationships, advertising, politics, debate, sales, social media, public speaking, print media, and visual media. Take Persuasion & Argumentation SPE210 to find out and develop strong persuasive and argumentation skills.
This course will take a deep dive into the theories and strategies of persuasion. Students will get an opportunity to practice constructing persuasive oral, audio, and visual persuasion. The power to influence others is one of the most significant skills anyone can possess.
Persuasion is the most important skill you can develop. Why? Because without it, your ideas won’t get traction. Without influence, you won’t get the resources or support you need. Without influence, you won’t be able to communicate your unique value to the world.
These articles (ONE & TWO) will provide some more detailed goals of a course like this.
