Laguna Laser

CO2 CNC Lasers work by bouncing light emissions back and forth between mirrors on an XYZ axis until the beam passes through a special lens at the tip of the router head. Types of cutting material can range from thin plywood, acrylic and cardboard.

First Cut

For my first cut I designed a simple keychain with my name and a penrose triangle engraved.

Maker Case

For my maker case I decided to go with a simple, open top design with rounded corners. The rounded corners didn't turn out the best in cardboard but overall the box worked. The video was to long to upload but I posted a shortened GIF of the cut be performed.

Second Cut

My design for my second cut was a simple box but with an angled opening. The box is held together with kerfs and is sized to fit standard buisness cards.
