Problem Statement

As land use continues to shift from natural to developed environments and with an increased understanding of point-source pollution, it is now critical to focus on controlling nonpoint-source pollution to preserve the quality of natural water sources. There are concerns about the pollution loading into streams from dog park runoff in urban landscapes. We propose to design a system to prevent pet waste in water runoff from reaching nearby streams.
