After discussing our prototype with our target learners, it was time to make sure an audience new to teaching and/or self-compassion could follow our idea. Our fellow classmates in EDUC 761 gave us some great insights on what to look into, what they liked, and what to adjust by listening to Nate walk them through a short presentation on how our prototype works.
They were tasked to answer the following criteria:
Clarity of the learning goals
Clarity on how the product is used
Tight alignment between product use and learning goals
Here are some responses:
Clarity of the learning goals:
Your goals are very clear! A reminder that this is specifically for teachers would be helpful. I think your learning goals do a great job of supporting teachers and their opportunities for mindfulness through an easy-to-use app.
Clarity on how the product is used:
The product seems easy to use, but I think a video tutorial would be helpful because I got a little bit lost on the presentation.
The prototype is clear but I think if there was a video to help provide a sense of direction for when the teachers open the app would be great. If they have never used something like this in the past, they may be overwhelmed by what is being presented to them
Your surveys should probably add text descriptions for the emojis, just to make it clearer what each is meant to mean
Tight alignment between product use and learning goals:
The app features lead to achieving the goals you set. It would be good to have time needed next to the resources so that teacher knew if they have enough time to use the app. Otherwise all good. Well done!
Our classmates gave us great feedback to implement for our prototype. Thanks, EDUC 761 Spring 2023!
