Major: Software Development

Area: Glendale Heights

Platform

My name is Divine Nkanga, and I am thrilled to step forward as a candidate for the role of Student Leadership Officer. As Officer, I will prioritize maintaining open lines of communication, actively listening to the diverse needs and concerns of students at COD and addressing them with the dedication and attention they deserve. Transparent communication and accessibility are central to my leadership approach. Every member of our community deserves to be informed about available resources and supported in accessing them.

In addition to my involvement in the Black Student Alliance and my role as President of the Open Studio Art Club, "DAC," I am an active member of the Computer Science Club and participate in other cultural clubs like Latinos Unidos. Through these engagements, I strive to create inclusive spaces and advocate for opportunities for students of all backgrounds, particularly in STEM and Art fields. My passion extends beyond specific demographics, and to leverage my platform to advocate for increased opportunities within our campus community and broader spheres.

I believe in the power of collaboration and partnership to create meaningful change. I aim to ensure that every student has access to resources that foster both academic and personal growth. My vision for student leadership is proactively creating initiatives that benefit all students.

I am confident in my ability to fulfill the responsibilities of this role with enthusiasm, dedication, and a genuine commitment to serving the entire student body. Thank you for considering my candidacy.
