I am running to be a voice of the student body and to try and create real change to improve the student cost and experience of attending College of DuPage. To promote more effective accountability and functional results from the administration. I have been attending CoD for three semesters, during this time I have benefitted from many student organizations and clubs. As a member of SLC I have had an opportunity to become aware of some of the more pressing issues for the student body. I am working closely with several faculty members and Deans.
I want to give back and I believe the best way I can do that is by working to secure more opportunities for free access to books and educational materials for students. My main focus is the open educational resources steering committee and how to communicate the availability of all the free resources to the students. I am passionate about equitability and affordability of education, so I have been working with my fellow students on understanding and identifying the main pain points of attending CoD.
I used to be a radio frequency design engineer for Ericsson and telecommunication project deployment coordinator, and I would love the opportunity to share some of my experiences. So, I want to work on continuity and legacy compliance of some of most impactful projects currently taken up by different clubs on campus.
I am working closely with the leadership of 6 different clubs across different disciplines to bring this vison of stability and incremental progress to all current and future students. I have joined and participated in some of the largest clubs on campus like the accounting club, ASA, and SLC. I have been working with as many of my fellow student leaders as possible, we are building consensus and understanding on how to unite our efforts.
