札幌生まれ、外人の道産子。両親はOMF宣教師。日本の保育園に通った後、宣教師子女のための小学校に入学。１１歳までほぼ北海道育ち。中・高校はイギリスの寄宿学校で学び、１５歳の頃に「宣教師になりたい」という思いが与えられる。大学卒業後は、ロンドンの教会でインターンとして働き、UCCFでも学生伝道に従事。聖書学校で学んだ後、妻のアンナと共にOMF宣教師として日本に戻り、KGKと学生伝道をする。８年間日本で働いた後、2019年から現在に至るまでウェールズのスワンジー在住で、イギリスから東アジアのための祈り手や働き人を募り励ますモーバライザー(動員者)として働いている。

子供４人（16歳、13歳、10歳、８歳）、犬２匹、猫１匹、亀１匹、蛇１匹、鳥３匹。

Born in Sapporo, a “foreign-born Hokkaido native.” His parents were OMF International missionaries. After attending a Japanese nursery school, he enrolled in an elementary school for missionary children and grew up mostly in Hokkaido until the age of 11. He then attended a boarding school in the UK for his secondary education, where, around the age of 15, he sensed a calling to become a missionary.

After graduating from university, he worked as an intern at a church in London and was also involved in student ministry with UCCF. Following his studies at a Bible school, he returned to Japan with his wife Anna as an OMF International missionary, serving with KGK in student evangelism.

After eight years of ministry in Japan, he has been based in Swansea, Wales since 2019, where he serves as a mobilizer—encouraging and recruiting prayer partners and workers from the UK for East Asia.

He has four children (ages 16, 13, 10, and 8), along with two dogs, one cat, one turtle, one snake, and three birds.

大阪で牧師家庭に育ち、15歳の時に家族とともにハワイへ移住し、それ以来アメリカに在住している。高校時代から留学生伝道に関わり、Urbana ’90宣教大会での再献身を経て、フラー神学校在学中にJapanese Christian Fellowship Network（JCFN）へ導かれ、1994年より主事として奉仕している。現在はJCFNの働きに加え、デンバーでクリスチャンとなった元留学生で、ウィンターズバーグ長老教会日本語部牧師である夫まおの支えを受けながら、ともにミニストリーに携わっている。

Raised in a pastor’s family in Osaka, she moved to Hawaii with her family at the age of 15 and has lived in the United States ever since. She became involved in ministry to international students during her high school years, and after a renewed commitment at the Urbana ’90 Missions Conference, she was led to the Japanese Christian Fellowship Network (JCFN) while studying at Fuller Theological Seminary. She has been serving as a staff member with JCFN since 1994.

In addition to her work with JCFN, she serves in ministry alongside her husband Mao—formerly an international student who became a Christian in Denver and now pastors the Japanese congregation at Wintersburg Presbyterian Church—while receiving his support.

日本で生まれ育つ。アメリカのコロラドにあるバイブルスクールと、ペンシルバニアの神学校で聖書を学ぶ。日本で牧師として教会開拓に10年携わり、2019年にフランスへ渡る。現在はリータニー・フォーカスのもとでOMFボランティアとしてヨーロッパを拠点に活動中。フランス人の妻と娘2人の4人家族で、ジャンヌ・ダルクの町として知られるオルレアンに在住。ランニングが趣味で毎日のように走っている。ランの話に花を咲かせるのが大好き。

Tomoyuki Abe： “As a Returnee” 

Born and raised in Japan, he studied the Bible at a Bible school in Colorado and at a seminary in Pennsylvania in the United States. He spent 10 years involved in church planting as a pastor in Japan before moving to France in 2019. He is currently based in Europe, serving as an OMF volunteer under Returnee Focus.

He lives in Orléans—known as the town of Joan of Arc—with his French wife and their two daughters. He enjoys running and runs almost every day, and loves talking about it.

ロンドン生まれ。１５歳の時にクリスチャンになる。大学卒業後千葉県で英会話の講師をしている際に日本宣教への想いが与えられる。イギリスで物理学の教師として数年働き、神学校を卒業した後、OMFの長期宣教師として日本で活動。5年前にイギリスへ帰国し、OMFリターニー・フォーカスでフルタイムで働いている。妻、娘二人の４人家族。 

Richard East： “As One who Sends”

Born in London, he became a Christian at the age of 15. After graduating from university, he worked as an English conversation teacher in Chiba, Japan, where he developed a heart for mission work in Japan. He later worked as a physics teacher in the UK for several years, and after graduating from seminary, served in Japan as a long-term missionary with OMF.

He returned to the UK five years ago and now serves full-time with OMF Returnee Focus. He has a wife and two daughters.
