Natural recording of rain water in nature.
PLHind is a photographer who captures details and textures within nature. Using a macro lens to accurately focus on finer details. She became a photographer at the age of 10 (1950s). Their love for macro photography started when she used her father's camera and a rifle-sight magnifier placed in front of the lens - capturing a picture of mold on a piece of bread.
From their works, I will be focusing more of their nature photography which captures droplets of water - using a macro lens to view more of the finer reflections of the water and textures of the petals/branches.
This photograph captures water droplets scattered across a lilac flower. A very traditional photograph using a macro lens.
The photo itself highlights different shapes from the rounded spheres of the water to the straight hard edges of the petals. The macro lens also captures the reflections and properties of water, being able to see the flower being distorted in the water with the addition of shadows and hard light.
All of their photographs have a 1 by 1 shape which further draws our attention to the centre.
PROCESS :
Equipment - Spray Bottle
Mainly focusing on capturing flowers from outdoors (natural plants).
Fill the spray bottle with water and spray the petals/plant with water.
(Changeable) The amount of spray can vary for the desired size of the droplet.
