Day 8: Rebuilding Brokenness
Verse of the Day:
"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." - Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
Reflection:
In the face of brokenness, we find hope in God's promise to be near to those with shattered hearts. As we step into a new year, let us embrace the truth that God is not distant from our pain but is intimately involved in the process of rebuilding and restoring what may be broken.
God's ability to mend the broken pieces is not limited by the magnitude of our shattered dreams or fractured relationships. His grace reaches into the depths of our brokenness, bringing healing and wholeness. As we start afresh, let us surrender our brokenness to the One who specializes in restoration.
Reflect on areas of your life that may feel broken or in need of restoration. Offer them to God in prayer, inviting Him to bring His healing touch to those wounded places. Trust in His promise to save the contrite spirit and rebuild what may seem irreparable.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with our brokenness, trusting in Your nearness and Your ability to restore. In this new year, may Your healing touch mend the shattered pieces of our hearts and lives. We surrender our brokenness to You, knowing that You are the God of redemption and renewal. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Action Step:
Take a moment to write down areas in your life that feel broken or in need of restoration. Lift them up in prayer, surrendering each broken piece to God and trusting in His power to rebuild.
Thought for the Day:
