Day 12: Seeking God's Will
Verse of the Day:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
Reflection:
As we stand at the threshold of a new year, let us make a commitment to seek and follow God's will in all aspects of our lives. The words of Proverbs 3:5-6 offer a timeless guide for navigating the uncertainties of the future—trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your understanding, acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will direct your paths.
Seeking God's will involves surrendering our own plans and desires to align with His perfect purpose. It requires trust in His wisdom, even when our understanding is limited. Acknowledging God in every area of our lives, both big and small, opens the door for His guidance and direction.
Take a moment to reflect on your plans for the coming year. Are there areas where you need to seek God's will more intentionally? In prayer, surrender your plans to Him, asking for His guidance and the assurance that He will direct your paths.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as we embark on this new year, help us to trust in Your wisdom and seek Your will in all aspects of our lives. We surrender our plans to You and ask for Your guidance. May our hearts be attuned to Your direction, and may we follow where You lead. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Action Step:
Create a list of your plans and goals for the new year. In prayer, surrender them to God, asking for His guidance and direction. Be open to His leading and willing to adjust your plans according to His will.
