The CMS Digital Production Facility (DPF), located in Ralph Earl Hall of Fine Arts (EA 122), is an advanced media production hub designed to equip Film, Television, and Media Production students with the tools and expertise necessary for mastering their craft. Featuring state-of-the-art technology, the DPF offers a fully functional television broadcast studio, editing suites, a live-streaming podcast studio, and access to high-end field equipment. Staffed by experienced industry professionals, the DPF provides a dynamic and supportive learning environment. Each space is designed to foster collaboration and hands-on learning, ensuring students gain real-world experience while pursuing their academic and creative projects.
Each part of the CMS Digital Production Facility plays a crucial role in preparing students for real-world media production environments. The DPF features a fully functional television broadcast studio designed for multicamera productions. Outfitted with high-quality cameras, lighting rigs, and control room equipment, the studio supports everything from live broadcasts to pre-recorded television segments.
Students in the Film, Television, and Media Production concentration can use the broadcast studio for live television production, news shows, and scripted multicamera projects. The facility provides practical, hands-on experience in live broadcasting, studio management, and lighting design.

Located on the second floor, the podcast studio provides an acoustically optimized space for producing high-quality audio and video content. The room accommodates 1 to 4 speakers and features professional-grade audio and video equipment, making it ideal for podcasting, vodcasts, and interviews.
Students learn the ins and outs of podcasting, from recording clean audio to managing live video streams. This space also allows them to explore narrative storytelling and interview-based content creation. The multi-camera setup offers practice in live switching and streaming, valuable for digital content creators.
