Canberra Mathematics
Enrichment Program
For many years, ANU mathematicians have run enrichment classes on Friday nights at ANU. The Canberra Mathematics Enrichment Program (CMEP) was started by László (Laci) György Kovács and Mike Newman in 1965 and has run continuously up to the present day. During that time it has been staffed by dedicated volunteers whose aims are to invite students who want to see more non-curriculum mathematics and
foster their enjoyment with mathematics,
develop their problem-solving skills, and
prepare them for the Tournament of the Towns.
