My teaching philosophy begins with my students. Students come to my courses with miscellaneous goals, motivations, different life experience, various background and abilities.

I need to learn who they are as individuals and how to increase their empowerment level.

Bogdan MOCAN:: About me

I am Full Professor at the Department of Engineering Design and Robotics ((https://ipr.utcluj.ro/) from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (www.utcluj.ro).

My courses are on industrial robotics manufacturing, maintenance of industrial equipment and safety issues related to industrial robotic automation systems (https://sites.google.com/view/clujrobotics/).

My current research focuses on Industrial Robotic Automation, Robotics Safety, Biomedical Engineering , Robot-Assisted Medicine.

I've got my BSc on Robotics, a Post Graduated Degree in Eco-Management (Technical University of Cluj-Napoca & University of Minnesota, Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs ), a MSc in Quality Engineering, the PhD on Industrial Engineering, and Postdoctoral Scholarship at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

My researches on PhD scholarship were on "Oriented Design and Performance Improvement of Robotic Arc Welding Systems" and my Postdoctoral Scholarship was on "Intelligent human-robot interfaces for intuitive programming of industrial robots".

My key professional fields of interest are: industrial robotics, robotics safety, robot-assisted medicine.
